Our ceremonial Cacao is certified organic as a warranty of Kaukawa’s premium grade quality. This is a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of excellence, from the cultivation of the cacao plants to the careful harvesting, fermentation, and selection process. We work with the local native genotype of cacao from Cusco rainforest, which is locally called 'chuncho'. This cacao variety exists for more than 3,000 years, it has been domesticated by the native community Matsigenka and is the cacao that grows at the highest altitude above sea lever. It is also the cacao with most diuversity inside its genotype. 

The storing time of this product is 12 months since its elaboration. It is recommended to keep the cacao paste at a temperature between 16 Cº and 20 Cº (60ºF to 68ºF) and preferably in a cool and dry place.

IMPORTANT NOTE: to order 5kg of cacao and access the shipping price of 5 kg, you can order only 4.5 kg of cacao. Thank you.
