Kaukawa Tasting Experiences are guided chocolate & cacao experiences designed to deepen sensory awareness, origin understanding, and appreciation for fine cacao.
Through structured tasting, participants explore chocolate and cacao in different forms — from beans and pure cacao to finished chocolate — learning how origin, genetics, and processing shape flavor.
Each circle is an invitation to travel through cacao, connecting taste with land, culture, and craftsmanship.
Our Tasting Experiences
1. The 50 Best Chocolate — Cacao of Excellence (CoEx)
A limited-edition tasting featuring selections from the Cacao of Excellence – The 50 Best Chocolates from 2023 & 2025.
Participants are introduced to CoEx standards and tasting protocols while exploring award-winning chocolates from around the world, guided by Fiorella Richter, Peruvian cacao & chocolate taster and CoEx certified student.
2. Chocolate Tasting — Peru & the World
A curated selection of Peruvian and international chocolates, exploring the diversity of origin, flavor profiles, and craftsmanship through guided sensory analysis.
From Vietnam to Hawaii, this tasting becomes a journey — traveling through cacao origins across the world, one chocolate at a time.
3. Cacao Tasting — From Bean to Cup
A deeper exploration of cacao in its purest forms, including beans, cacao paste, and 100% cacao (no additives), prepared as a beverage.
This tasting focuses on understanding cacao beyond chocolate — as a raw and minimally processed food.
