I hope this message finds you well, reconnectin with you after some months. I’m Fiorella, Director of Kaukawa Cacao, writing to share some exciting updates from our world of cacao.
This 2025, I’ve been deepening my journey in cacao quality and innovation — learning directly at the Cacao of Excellence laboratory in Rome, Italy. This incredible training is helping me understand how to improve every step of the cacao process, from bean to bar. I’ll soon be sharing insights and protocols for elevating cacao quality and crafting rich, authentic cacao paste and chocolate.

One of the biggest takeaways? Whether you're a grower, maker, or consumer — we all need to speak the same language around cacao quality. This shared understanding is how we build a stronger, more transparent industry together.
At the same time, we've been rewiring our mission and vision as a cacao brand from Peru, a country of origin of cacao production, the origin of our cacao and the heart of our work. Our goal is to create more direct, respectful, and sustainable connections between the people who grow cacao and those who savor it around the world. We're proud to represent origin and culture with integrity and purpose, imoulsing education from the farmers to our clients and final consumers, YOU!
I'm also proud to share updates from Women of Cacao (www.womenofcacao.com), where I serve as host and co-founder. We’re hosting monthly events that bring together voices across the cacao & chocolate industries, and from September 18–21st, we’ll be launching our 2nd Annual Women of Cacao Summit — free and open to all! Expect inspiring conversations from leading women shaping this space.
